Trying to save any piece of railroad equipment can be and usually a very expensive venture. Help is always welcomed and in today's world help can come in a number of ways. I chose to use GoFundMe. I'm trying to save this car so it can be rebuilt into a day lounge for use on excursions and other non Amtrak charters. To some this car may be insignificant while to others it's a unique piece of Clinchfield railroad history.

I'm asking for help, not for restoring the car, but for help getting the car moved off of CSX. If anybody has done this or dealt with CSX concerning moves of this nature know how difficult this is. I'm about 1000.00 short the money to pay the contractors to relocate the rail to roll the car back onto live rail. If I can meet this goal I will be thrilled as this has been a long time coming.
