I think its pretty interesting many lumber companies ran their own railroads not tied into the major rail networks (not owned) ran their own engines/equipment, in doing some research those equipment don't obviously show up in regular books/data/whatever, so its hard to track the status of them as railfans/researchers get around them, you would have to talk to some former employees if they are still around and see what. |
