A long time ago I remember my step mom mentioning that a trolley was being actioned off from a closed down restaurant in Springfield MA. From my research it looks to be the Spaghetti Warehouse restaurant. Does anyone know what happened to the trolley car?

The Spaghetti Warehouse in Dallas has one also, and I seem to remember it being authentic, but I was young, so it to could be a fake. Memory can trick us.

They franchised "The old Spaghetti Warehouse" and built many locations in the late 80's early 90's, that also have trolley seating, but they are not original trolleys, just framed up replicas with school bus windows added.

We have a trolley expert on here from Dallas who might know about that carbody. Maybe he'll see this and reply.

There are Spaghetti Factory (Portland, OR) and Spaghetti Warehouse (Dallas, TX). There was a court case as the Factory was first and sued Warehouse for infringement of name plus the use of the same supplier of the sauce, and recipe, and menu. Warehouse had to change the supplier and some of the recipes but was allowed to keep the full name. Bob Hawk was the originator of the Dallas idea and did try to obtain real streetcar bodies, of which MATA, and I, were glad to help when possible. In fact, because of my working with Bob on the Historical Preservation League Board, I was able obtain all the interior seats, all the electrical gear under and in the car as Bob didn't need, or want, the materials. Bob told me the New Orleans car would not fit the location in Kansas City as well as he wanted. He really wanted a Dallas car body. So, Ed Landrum knew where 2 bodies were located and got them to swap to Bob for the New Orleans car. That car became the 2nd car for MATA, Dallas. Later, MATA sold the complete car to New Orleans for the Riverfront line. The sale of the car enabled MATA to buy the W-2 car from Melbourne. Another old New Orleans car was purchased by New Orleans from Atlanta Underground for the Riverfront line. Those two cars were the only ones that went back to New Orleans.

Many cars bodies disappeared from Dallas until we really didn't have any around. Bob then started to manufacture the replicas to fulfill his needs for new locations. I do not know about the location in question as I never did ask Bob for a list of what was where. Bob later sold the chain to another local restaurant group.
