Post subject:  Another Headlight question

Since the prior headlight question was answered so completely, let me toss this one out.

You may recall I'm working on the restoration of a 1940 Brookville railcar. The builder's photo shows headlights, but they were long gone before we acquired it. The RR Museum of PA has another Brookville of similar vintage, and they kindly photographed the headlight on theirs. It's about 8" in diameter, 4" deep, and 12VDC. Although there are a lot of Ford parts in Brookvilles of this vintage, I can't find a match. I have posed the question to the Brookville company as well, but no answer yet. Being 12VDC it very well could be an automobile manufacturer, but who? A photo of RRMofPA's headlight is attached.

While I'm on the subject, I'm still looking for a good photocopy/digital scan of a similar-vintage builder's plate for the unit.

Thanks

Nick

Looks like an old drum headlight found on a tractor or early truck. "Guide" made these, as well as Adlake and others. Here is an example:

Check the catalog at Joe's Antique Auto. He has old parts that may be what you need: www.joesantiqueauto@charter.com.
