I saw on the narrow gauge discussion forum recently that that the boiler that was built new for the Glenbrook at the NSRM (Carson City NV) has been moved to the Nevada County Narrow Gauge Museum in Nevada City CA. The Glenbrook recently ran with a new, correct boiler.

The story is that first boiler was too tall, and a bit too wide to be a perfect restoration boiler for Glenbrook, and it was never used. A sister locomotive "Tahoe" is at NCNG and apparently they feel that can use it to make that loco operational again!

A happy ending if it works out?

Measure twice (or a hundred times), Cut (or roll or weld or rivet) once?
