The Arizona State Railroad Museum has in its collection an EMD NW2 missing the Builders Plates. Does anyone know of or have such a plate as we need the height & length in inches of these Plates.

Does anyone know the whereabouts of the Builders Plates for this locomotive & would be willing to return same?

This NW 2 was built June 15 1947, Serial Number 4845 for the Phelps Dodge Corporation & numbered PHDX 2. The locomotive was later transferred to Ajo, Arizona Tucson Cornelia & Gila Bend Railway and numbered 52.

Anyone with information about or answers to the above posting please contact the George F. Shaw, Arizona State Railroad Museum, 200 West Railroad Ave.’ Williams, AZ 86046. OR, Email archivesgfs@azstaterrmuseum.org. OR, PHONE: (318) 780-5207.

Thank you in advance. Have a great day.

Your plate would almost certainly be stainless steel, 14 3/4x 4 3/4 rectangular. The plates changed in shape in August of 1947 to the more common "hotdog" style, so you're looking for a rare bird unfortunately.
This one recently turned up on eBay from the same vintage

In case you are wondering it came from Western Pacific #802, which was an F-3
