Post subject:  Monon 2
Hello RYPN Forums,

This is my first post in the forum after joining recently. I volunteer at the Indiana Transportation Museum and love the Monon and Nickel Plate Lines. I was wondering if anyone could inform me on the whereabouts of Monon number 2. I have seen pictures on a side track in Burns Harbor and one more recent picture, 2008, in Valparaiso. Any info you all have would be excellent. Thanks!

The family of the owner eventually decided to donate the car to the Monon Railroad Historical-Technical Society and the Society moved the car down to French Lick, Indiana.

I should also mention that Monon number 2 was known as Lynne when in service for the Monon. There was a proposal to rename the car Monon but a vote was taken by the MRHTS membership and it was decided to return the name Lynne to the car.
