Yesterday, J.C. McHugh let out a photo of W&W's former B&O SW-1 No. 8408. What we are seeing is the culmination of years of work. The W&W has invested a lot of money in this project and McHugh has donated a lot of extras. No. 8408 will be the gold standard of diesel locomotive restoration. Look for No. 8408 to return to the W&W in the coming weeks. She will be featured at various events during the railroad’s 50th anniversary season in 2016. Keep an eye on http://wwrr.com. More information about McHugh Locomotive & Equipment / MRME, Inc. can be found at http://mchughlocomotive.com.

Is it coming back on rails or is it being trucked back? I remembered when it was sent out over the East Penn Railroad.

I have no idea when or what route. On the railroad it is often hurry-up and wait.
