Part of this Tradition was the wonderful parade of passenger cars PRR pulled out for all the extra trains. In the 1960s, there was quite a variety of heavyweight Pullman parlor cars, sleepers-in-day-service, cars from other roads and from the Pullman pool. Plenty of photos of these trains and cars are now on the web, with a little looking. Passenger car fans would make sure to get a good location where the trains were slowly moving into the Stadium yard, and they had plenty of Kodachrome in the camera bag! Howard P. |
