I know of two organizations who are looking for an affordable turntable. Please message me if you know of one available.

Thanks,

Maybe it won't work out. But maybe seeing if it does will be the best adventure ever.

Could you ask them what length of turntable they need? Otherwise it would be very difficult to know where to point them.

The old Bangor roundhouse TT has been advertised recently, in a "swap" magazine called "Uncle Henry's", in Maine. The TT is located in Brewer, Maine. I know nothing more about it.
"Uncle Henry's" is on lie as well as published in magazine format.

It is up in the air if the Mon Conn turntable in Pittsburgh is going to survive the development of the J&L Steel Eliza Furnace site. If I find out that its in danger I'll put the word out.

There is also a turntable that is likely to be removed shortly during the cleanup/demolition of the paper mill in Bucksport, Maine.

Ed, I'm uncertain about removal of the Bucksport turntable. It belongs to Pan American, not the mill, if I recall correctly. The mill used it to turn some freight cars.

There was recently a 80' turntable in upstate New York advertised in, of all places, Craigslist in Pittsburgh PA. Unfortunately the link no longer works:

http://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/hvo/5212743696.html

I recall it being a spot on the old D&H, and the asking price in the low six digits.
