I would like to thank Alex Huff for bringing up the transfer table being available. I also called Braden at the elevator about the table and he said to call his boss Gary Beachner. Mr Beachner of Beachner Grain was kind enough to donate it to The Abilene & Smoky Valley Railroad in Abilene KS. We are now in the process of working on the details of the paper work and the move. There is still a lot of work to do but we are planning to use the table near our work area. This table is about 50 feet long and 25 feet wide in one piece so it will take work to move it. So if you know of other railroad items that are not being used let other people know so that somebody may be able to save it. Because it may be headed to scrap sooner then you think. Beachner Grain was planning track work this summer and this table was headed for scrap. |
