I have found photographs of three Industrial Brownhoist cranes with Baldwin extra order plates attached. One in Brazil has a rectangular plate reading "Built for The Baldwin Locomotive Works, Philadelphia, PA USA, Extra Order 2795-1927.

Of the two cranes in Guatamala one has a round plate with extra order 2572 February 1926 and the other has a rectangular plate for extra order 24 1929. Baldwin must have been the exporter for Industrial Works cranes in the Americas. Do these records still exist?

Greetings:
I know nothing about the aforementioned cranes, however I have seen BLW extra order plates on replacement boilers for locomotives.

Baldwin "Extra Orders" could be anything from a light bulb to a complete boiler. Only really big items got those round "XO-xxxx) builder's plates. As for the cranes mentioned, BLW had sales agents all around the world, so their acting as exporter for smaller companies that didn't have such a widespread organization would not be unusual.
