Just noticed on own their website at www.bgrm.org that the Bluegrass Railroad Museum is disposing of several pieces equipment as soon as possible. Any and all offers will be considered. All cars are offered as-is, where-is.Included are

L&N/Pennsylvania sleeper "Kentucky River"
L&N RPO
L&N coach
L&N baggage car
Illinois Central coach
GM&O water car
NC&StL dynamometer car
L&N wood boxcar

Does anyone know what the intended use of the funds generated from this sale would be? Restoration of existing stock? General expenses? Capital improvements?

From what I understand the BGRM is selling equipment that they feel that they can no longer take care of. They had an N.C.&St.L wooden caboose that they sold to a preservation group in Western Kentucky.

This, I can verify, is correct. Our group, The Mid_South Rail Heritage Foundation, purchased ex-N.C.&St.L. # 87 for restoration and operation.
