Ok, I lied! It takes more than 2 AA batteries. This past week Shaker Heights Rapid Transit moved under her own power at the Northern Ohio Railway Museum for the first time in many years. Video of this test run has been posted to the Museum's Facebook page. A link is below. The car is operating off 600 volts DC supplied to the car via an umbilical cable. It can be seen near the rear of the car. This is another important milestone for the Museum as we transition from a static Museum to one that will offer demonstration trolley rides. Car 12 is probably the best known Cleveland trolley thanks to her many years of fantrip service on the Shaker Rapid. The car was donated to the Museum by the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority in 2013. Steve Heister Northern Ohio Railway Museum https://www.facebook.com/Northern-Ohio- ... 544183676/
