Our RR society has just been gifted this engine and we are excited about it. However, it is in rough shape and i would appreciate any information, especially wiring.
This is a 1941 GE Diesel/Electric 25 ton locomotive with a 150 HP engine made in 1941. Serial Number is: 15010. We found via engine markings that the engine was replaced with a 1977 model, 150 HP, Cummins Engine/

If you need any parts for this little gem, first try Western Star Rail Services of Newark, OH (740-344-3336) before going to either GE or Logan. Dennis at WSRS knows these industrial GEs inside and out and has a vast stock of parts, both new and used. He's been a huge help to Pennsylvania Trolley Museum as we revived and regauged our 1953 25 tonner. Neither I nor PTM have any commercial connection with WSRS.
