From the Shelburne Falls Trolley Museume website. www.sftm.org "Trolleyfest is our annual celebration of the restoration of Trolley No. 10. A special event this year will be the ribbon-cutting ceremony for our New Carbarn at 11am! The public is invited from 11am to 5pm at our regular $4.00 All-Day Pass rate, members as always get to ride free! Here is a link to our Trolleyfest Poster, we'd love to have you print these out and post them in appropriate public places. Besides the usual trolley car rides and pump car rides, activities include: Caboose rides powered by our trackmobile Speeder (aka Motorcar, aka Putt-Putt) Rides Wooden and electric trains to play with Music by "Whistle Stop" in the afternoon Blacksmithing Demonstrations Noon-5pm Hands-on Toolmaking Noon-4pm Scoop Shack - Hot dogs, Burgers, Ice Cream 12-3pm McCusker's Market - Sampling Hard Cider and Pickles 2:30 -Marie Betts Bartlett reads her book "The Little Yellow Trolley Car" Trolley Era reenactors riding the trolley Noon-4pm These Hands-on demonstrations of Trolley Era activities that relate to industries served by the trolley line Noon-4pm: Hands-on Cider pressing Hands-on Butter making Hands-on Weaving Milk a 'Cow' Why was Vinegar important?" The event will be held 7/23 |

SFTM? (Shelburne Falls Trolley Museum--maybe??) What can I do to encourage folks on this forum to follow the old reporting rules: Who? What? When? Where? Why? Answering these questions with one or two words or a simple declarative sentence is a sure way to avoid confusion on any readers part. Thanks! |
