I am glad they treat the visitors good, 'cause they treat the home folks who'd like to be involved and assist them like just so much unwanted garbage. |

Can't speak to that--I didn't come to work, only to visit and talk and listen for a day or two. Nor am I a hands-on steam man; I am a qualified trainman and have done some freight car and diesel restoration work, but I am no steam man--I've tried to pick up what I can from listening and book learnin' but that's the (very narrow) limit of my expertise. So, not in a position to have many worthwhile opinions. All I can say is as an interested visitor I was given a warm welcome, got a good look around, and had a lot of very long, good conversations with various folks as they could spare the time from their duties. eledbetter@rypn.org |
