The trips on Saturday went off without any major problems. Hopefully there will be a few more runs this fall/winter. I will post any future trips.

Slightly different, but looks a lot like the heavy USRA Mikados of the Colorado & Southern that used to run down the middle of Mason Street in Fort Collins, Colo.. See the recent Classic Trains cover. There were a few excursions also, see below.

Post subject:  Wouldn't it be cool....

First off, congrats to the Hoosiers. Wish I could have been on board.

The nice picture got me thinking (OK, OK, dreaming) wouldn't it be cool for #587 to appear as her original LE&W #5541 for her 90th birthday in 2008?

Does anyone have a USRA tender out there waiting to be re-mated with a USRA Mike?

I am not talking about destroying any of the #587's NKP fabric, just a nice PR project that could tie in with WWI rememberances and such.

I understand the logi$tics, but it is a dream...

PS: I still can't believe that she's almost 90!
