I have began working on my Pere Marquette Caboose 801. I am in need of a set of trucks and axles. I would prefer historically corrects trucks, Its my understanding this caboose used BETTENDORF SWING MOTION TRUCKS but I'm not sure. Any help would be appreciated. Also this will be a static display. Trucks would not need to be serviceable. viewtopic.php?t=34053 |

Pennsylvania Trolley Museum, Washington, PA may soon be scrapping two 1954 vintage reefers. One pair of trucks is spoken for, the other pair may be available. Not the historically correct type, but at least they're trucks. To prevent any "hue & cry" over this scrapping, let me point out that these cars are in horrible condition and their availability has been advertised here several times with no response but a few "tire-kickers." They are junk, period. |

Kovalchick Salvage in Indana, PA has several scrap cabooses, plus hundreds of trucks of different sizes and shapes, scattered about their yard. They may have some. You may also have to go up there, scavenge about, point and say "I want those" and then they'll give you a price. |

We are scrapping a C&O wooden caboose. I believe it has trucks that are marked either pm or c&o. Wheels are shot, but the price could be right. |

Halton County Radial Railway in Milton, Ontario has an ex-London and Port Stanley Railway caboose which started out life as a Pere Marquette caboose built in the early 1900's. It is well beyond saving. If you contact them they may be willing to part with it. This photo was taken in 2007, but it is much worse now. The roof has totally collapsed. https://www.flickr.com/photos/whitebear ... 944921259/ |

Too often we don't get to see the completed project after someone comes on here asking for help and finds it. |

Good luck in your search, and caboose restoration etc.. Peter |
