i just read some one who posted that the b&m 3713 will be a long time before it runs . i think given some funds and man hours it could be out the door and running by next spring. i am willing to put my hands and own boilermaker tools where my mouth is.is anyone else interested? in regards to noname if i don"t post my email addess its because i forgot. i wonder why Ray Dewley never posts his email. i would like to contact him more than once a year at kent. regards bb.

I don't post my email for some of the reasons that are mentioned by others.

As I am sure Bob knows and remembers, years ago you could just show up with gloves and be put to work at many places that were restoring or operating historic railroad equipment. The times have changed and even the most open places require some for of training, next throw in the NPS the layers of BS they pile on top and you have a system that keeps people from helping. I don't understand how it can go on like that for years but it does.

In spite of insurance requirements, bad decisions, and tough laws on everything from lead paint to how crossings are flagged our movement has progressed. A lot has been done and everyone who does the work along with those who go out and spend the money at these places are the reason.
