Dollywood, started as the Rebel Railroad in 1961, is now under threat from wildfires burning through the western Great Smoky Mountains. The park is still home to a narrow-gauge steam operation using three-foot-gauge vintage equipment.

As of yet the park is reported as still intact.

All is well at Dollywood this morning per Tim Smith, the railroad GF.

The fire did make it to the perimeter of the park, but rains overnight helped immensely. The trains have not operated the past 2 weeks due to the dry conditions.
