I recently found a photo about a CSX f unit traveling with a MARC unit, with the location Brunswick, Maryland, on the B&O. In the background of said photo, there was a building that looked very much like a roundhouse. A quick search on google maps led me to find that the roundhouse wasn't there, but the Turntable is still there. More searching found that this roundhouse was demolished in 1996. Anyone have more information on this particular roundhouse, like the size and turntable length?

115-foot, has been out of service for some time.

There's still an 80-foot turntable at MARC's Riverside shop in Baltimore--functional, last I knew.

Here's a shot of the roundhouse and turntable I took in 1985. The turntable was still well-used at that time.

I'm not 100% sure when the turntable was last used, but I do know that the last tracks connected with the table were ripped out in 2011. Most of the components are still in the control house, and you can still walk all around it. Csx only put a fence around a small portion of the pit.

Table was in service at least until 2008, when I was still with CSX. Got to ride the table spinning power on it a few times.
