Does anyone know when GTW 5629's final excursion run was and where it went?

Try checking Steamlocomotive.com for their page on this engine and CB&Q 5632. They probably have some information related to it.

I am not really impressed by the firing job. Way to much smoke, and are the pops lifting?

Wow! Superb photography! Anyone know the story behind the "chase" and production of this film? I assume it was shot from an airplane. Are there comparable "chase films" from the 1960s?

There is an out-of-print Sunday River video titled "The Complete 2102" that shows a helicopter chase of ex-Reading 2102 on the Western Maryland & B&O on a near-zero winter day in 1972 (not quite the 60s). It's a great few minutes on much now-abandoned trackage. Sometimes you can find a used one on Ebay.
