Abonded Trolley

Apparently, in Salt Lake City there is an abonded trolley car. I am wondering if anyone knows the history and why no one has taken the steps and trucks as trolley parts are in short supply.

Really a shame. Was a perfectly good restoration/operation candidate in the 1980's.

What about the trucks? Would not someone want those?
