No relationship with Lima-Hamilton. Lima-Hamilton was created in 1947 when General Machinery Corp combined with Lima Locomotive. General Machinery was headquartered at Hamilton, Ohio, and was formerd through the consolidation in 1928 of sevral companies including Hamilton Press & Machinery Company. One of General Machinery products was the Hamilton diesel engines. For more information see Eric Hirsimaki's "Lima: the History" published back in 1986.

For Mr. Hamilton, you might try looking at the Cyclopedia of American Biography or other biographical referance works in a fair size public library.
