Post subject:  30th Street Station platform lamps - and restoration? SRR

Back in August of 2016, I made a visit to 30th Street Station in Philadelphia while photographing SEPTA's Amtrak leased ACS-64's. It was quite a site - as if, in my mind, the Reading Lines survived and Amtrak had two routes to NYC (or, at least to the ferries at Jersey City). One thing that caught my eye were the classic platform lights - the lamp shades (cast iron?) were few and far between - many missing, some lying on the ground, some even shattered. I asked a crewman if he knew the story and he said they were "dropping like flies" at random due to age.

Forward to 2017, I believe some may have made their way to the miracle workers at the Strasburg Rail Road? This would be fantastic news, if so. Perhaps someone at Strasburg can confirm, refute or chime in?

It appears that at least one of them has made it to Strasburg.

Though similar, it doesn't appear to me to be the same as the ones on 30th's platforms. There are minute differences....might the one at SRR be from Lancaster station?

.... unless Strasburg added to theirs during restoration to extend the height and decorative base and top.

We received them from Amtrak C&S contacts ... provenance? I'm not sure; we'll poke around.
