My devise could not display the article, so here goes a guess: The Andes and the Victoria region of Australia have a gauge in common. Most of the RRs are 3' 6" gauge. In Peru the famed G&Q is 3' 6". The route to lake Titicaca is likely same. |

The new operation is the Belmond Andean Explorer: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Belmond_Andean_Explorer The rolling stock is from the Venice-Simplon Orient Express's former Great South Pacific Express in Queensland from 1999 to 2003, built new for the service: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Sou ... ic_Express A still-alive website still promoting the service: http://home.southwind.net/~safaris/gspe.html |
