The locomotive is a replica of a Baldwin 2-4-2T that was built for an English 1'-11.5" gauge operation later taken over by the (English) Southern Railroad. See this thread on the NGDF for more information. Brand new narrow gauge Baldwin locomotive. Report is that while the exterior outline matches the original, there are a number of internal design improvements. |

Apologies for sounding apparently snide at what is really a great accomplishment, but..... ....... when one has to click through the links to figure out just what is being discussed where (standard or narrow gauge? another main line steamer or an industrial shunter?), it qualifies as "clickbait." All that was left to add was "You won't BELIEVE what happens next!!!!!" It would have benefited the original post and its readers greatly if the information in the most recent two posts above had been added to the first post to place the good news in context. |

All you needed to do was to click on one YouTube link (incidentally not my YouTube channel or anyone's that I know). Foxcote - Not a problem to me, and probably 99+ percent of the folks who DID click on a YouTube link and quickly figured out what it was. BTW, the L&B railroad itself looks neat.
