Does anyone know whatever happened to the Pullman car "Pequea Valley," a 6-section 2-double bedroom/lounge/buffet car built in 1930 and formerly stored on the Strasburg RR? I believe it was sold in 1986 and left the property; I heard it had gone to the Octoraro Ry for storage but has since vanished. It was formerly known as the "White Cloud" on the Pittsburgh and Lake Erie and as a 12-section 2 double bedroom car (rebuilt in 1936 and originally named "Fingal") it was used in Robert Young's press train. In 1958 the car was purchased by several SRC stockholders, including Henry Long, Irl Daffin and Max Solomon. For many years the car was stored at Long's Champion Blower and Forge Co. siding in Lancaster before it came to the SRC in about 1962. In later years, I've heard the widows sold the car to SRC director Ralph Hostetter. After years of painstaking searching, I have amassed a huge amount of historical information on the SRC's equipment with the hope of producing an all-time privately-published roster in the near future. If anyone has info on the "Pequea Valley," I'd very much enjoy hearing from you.

Another source says it was taken off its trucks and added to a hotel complex "somewhere north of Strasburg". Not sure if that is "north within Lancaster County," or north as in "north of Pennsylvania." More specific info is needed.
