I have been looking for information on the disposition of the Lackawanna's 44-tonners #'s 51-53.

Paul Tupaczewski provided this information to me recently:

51: Sold 7/65 to Sam Pinsly as Hoosac Tunnel & Wilmington #32. They stopped operating in 8/81, and the unit went to the Rock of Ages quarry in Graniteville, CT (don't know its current whereabouts)
52: Sold 7/65 to Sam Pinsly as Claremont & Concord #31 in Claremont, NH. I haven't cross-referenced it, but this might be one of the C&C 44-tonners that burned up in an enginehouse fire about 10 years ago.
53: Sold 10/68 to Weston & Brooker Sand and Gravel #53, Gray, GA. Later bought by Martin-Marietta, becoming #18562 and then (in 10/74) #14. Last data I have on that one as well...

Just wondering if anyone has any further infromation on these three units.
