Post subject: | Seen it in Boone |
What a relief. I thought I was seeing things. I swear I saw a C&NW combine on a flatcar when I was passing through Boone, Iowa the other day. The train it was on was moving so fast I couldn't catch up with it. By the way, Boone's 2-8-2 has not steamed all year and may not next year because they haven't done the part 230 work yet. Post subject: | Kettle Moraine Business Car |
Just learned recently that the business car at Kettle Moraine will be going to Oconomowoc, WI to be part of a restaurant. Hope the other equipment there finds a little better home, like at a museum. Allan ddg14@attbi.com |

Does anybody have any info on this car, such as its history (ownership, rebuilds, etc) and how it was used at Kettle Moraine and what its current configuration and condition is? Any photos? I have heard briefly via other sources about the restaurant proposal - has anybody seen plans/artists conceptions for how the car is to be used? Thanks, Tom rrhistorian@hotmail.com |

As far as heritage I don't know. Museum would be nice though if someone is willing to fix her up even though for a restaurant I think that is better than being razorblades or my next automobile. She may not be historically correct when put in the restaurant but she is probably not much more than a shell right now anyhow. ablemanscurve@hotmail.com |
