Post subject:  Tragedy in Australia

It was reported on the steam_tech list yesterday that a steam locomotive on an excursion train in northern Victoria, Australia struck a double-trailer tanker truck on a grade crossing. The locomotive derailed, turned on its side, and 3 men were killed, all in the locomotive cab. A 4th person, a woman who was also in the cab, was badly scalded and is being hospitalized.

A sad day for steam fans around the world. See the link below for a report from the Melborne newspaper "The Age".
