| Post subject: | ATSF 40' boxcar |
I just ran across the image below. Caption reads: Quote: This ancient 40-foot boxcar, No. 22026, is now on the Navajo Mine railway, and has been modified for use as a catenary-maintenance car (the mine RR is electric). It's been at the mine since the 1980's, perhaps longer. It still carries all its ATSF markings except for a New or Built date, which may be hidden behind the partially-opened door. Source An intact car like this is a good preservation candidate. Date of the photo is unknown. Large image: http://www.actionroad.net/DRGWLPD2/ATSF/RS/ATSF22026.jpg
