Work should begin on the roundhouse roof early next year. Due to State of Iowa bidding policies, the earliest contract may be let is January 1st. The roof work is being funded by a federal ISTEA grant, which is administered by the State of Iowa and the City of Sioux City.<p>The roundhouse compex is National-Register eligible and is now officially known as: Chicago, Milwaukee & St. Paul Railroad Shops and Roundhouse Historic District.<br> gn1355@aol.com |
