Does the group in Eureka Springs, Arkansas still run steam? I rode the line over ten years ago and of of them was a wood burner. thanks Alan adofmsu@aol.com |

There was a 2-6-0 (or 2-6-2?)operating, another that appeared serviceable, and a 2-8-2 that was unserviceable. We took the dinner train, which was powered by an SW-1. Overall, it was a nice operation and a pleasant experience. |

The leading page describes an operating diesel and stationary steam locomotive displays. Does not seem to be good news. ES&NA Web site |

I visited there a few months back to inspect a car. The future of steam was grim at that time - and the entire railroad is up for sale. Dave irondave@bellsouth.net |

We were there in 1988 and shot the woodburner #1 plus rode the tender and watched the fireman throw in the wood. Interesting operation. If anyone is interested (doubtful) the video is "American Steam - Vol 1" which has 1361, and others. Greg Scholl Videos sales@gregschollvideo.com |
