I had just seen at the end of March the Erie Lackawanna lettering on sd45-2 1700 were changed to CR patch lettering http://www.railpictures.net/photo/653643/ any idea why??

The railpictures link brought me to a page not found page. I am going to out on a limb and say some would think this probably belongs in the railfaning section of the forum. On the other hand I think this locomotive would be an excellent addition to any museum, when that time finally comes.

Just saw the 1700 yesterday alongside the NJ Turnpike. The lettering was the same as always.

Sounds like an April Fool's Photoshop that got by the rp amins for a while?
