Hi All
I just wanted to pass this along, I don't know how many of you are following the progress on the AT&SF 2926. But here is a little update, this past weekend they took delivery of fuel oil. So they are getting ready for the first shakedown fire-up if you go to there website. http://www.nmslrhs.org you can see photos and progress made on this fine locomotive.

They pumped in exactly "2926" gallons!

Unfortunately there were wasted spots and pinholes in the wall of the lower flue-sand bunker, which gave way and started leaking, so the truck had to be called back and the oil pumped out again.

I think they are still a couple of hydro tests away from 'first firing' but they are assuredly going to get there. I just hope by that time arrangements to run it, and its new tool car, can have been arranged.
