Post subject: | Wanted: 36" Gauge Diesel Loco |
A party of my acquaintance has asked me to locate any potentially available 36" gauge diesel locomotives. Party has in mind GE center-cab or end-cab switchers (like the EBT now has), or the EMD GA8, or Whitcomb/Davenport locos. Said loco(s) must be serviceable (or able to be made so), and capable of some tractive effort and distance, if not speed. Need not be immediately available--the proposals are still being discussed. And NO, this has NOTHING WHATSOEVER to do with the East Broad Top!!!!! Strictly coincidence, I assure you! lner4472@bcpl.net |

I believe the was a Porter at Huckleberry a while back, but it needed some work on its Cooper Bessemer. It may already be at CATS or D&S. Dave irondave@bellsouth.net |

Two places to ask your question: www.ngdeadgoatsaloon.com Dead Goat Saloon, go to Bulliten Board. www.ngdiscussion.net/cgi-bin/NGDF.pl Narrow Guage Discussion Forum. NGDF probably will be your best bet either for direct leads or someone to point you in the right direction. You could search their data base for topics related to your wish. Luck. retsquid@tvec.net |

After the sale of the three GE units to the D&S, the EBT still has a dual engine Davenport unit. Intact and stored indoors, uknown operability, _very_ small center cab, two axle, 40-60 ton range. The East Broad Top Railroad Homepage ![]() ebtrr@spikesys.com |
