Post subject: | Cumbres and Toltec Commission Meeting |
The Commission met today, read and studied six responses to the RFI. From my sources: Georgetown Loop RGRPC Scenic Railways II (Bob Keller) Stetson Railroad Operation Consortium (Texas railroad group) Jerry A. Fisher They have a FAST TRACK in mind, which is heartening. They will be requesting details from all six respondents, on HOW they will run the railroad. These must be in by December 6th. On December 14th the Commission expects to review the responses and decide on a new operator. They will then start negotiations with the new operator. That's the gist of it. Provisions were made for input from local communities. drgw483@la-tierra.com |

Post subject: | MODERATOR'S NOTE |
I have deleted the discussion following this post, which amounted to a he-said, he-said dispute about the fine detials of current events in Chama. The dispute is presently being carried on in multiple other discussion boards, and it is not helpful to have it continue here at RyPN. Any readers who wish to follow this dispute can find it and partifipate in it at the Narrow Gauge Discussion Forum, the new Narrow Gauge Dead Goat Saloon, and nearly any other forum dealing with US narrow gauge railroading.
