The same goes for me. The attacks being made right now are revolting. I want no part of this. |

While I see no reason why the both of you should want yourselves to be banned I do think you should take a break outside RYPN. When I got death threats months ago that's what I did and in the end I felt 100% better. These personal attacks right now are just the results of frustration over this ITM mess none of you should take it personal. It'll all blow over in a month. Take a nice vacation in the meantime. If a poster is banned, it should be for a serious infraction. However, there is no reason to allow everyone to dump their ash pans on the man's digital grave now that he is gone. |

Cameron Yes, chins up, good sirs; the next Steamtown/3713/1309/1361/BLE 643 thread is just a mouse click away!
While I see no reason why the both of you should want yourselves to be banned I do think you should take a break outside RYPN. When I got death threats months ago that's what I did and in the end I felt 100% better.
What an unfortunate experience. I hope that the people who threatened you with death were thenceforth banned from RYPN by a moderator, and rightly so. That would also put more recent matters into perspective.
These personal attacks right now are just the results of frustration over this ITM mess
Seriously? Are you on drugs? (Sorry if that seems like a personal attack, but a moderator has given assurance, in another thread tonight, that "everyone can be forgiven if from time to time they slip up and make a personal attack.") But do you actually believe that's what's been going on here? |

On social media some individuals were blaming Frank earlier for not notifying the preservation community ahead of time when he supposedly knew more than everyone else. Sometimes George people take this hobby way too seriously to see through their own bs so yes I rightfully believe much of the personal attacks here are because of this ITM conflict. You got the "battle of the lawyers" for much of the previous thread resulting in one of them getting banned for his brutal honesty so that doesn't help anything. |

There's been other threads where head-butting occurred. The ITM issue just happened to be the latest case, which led to action being taken. Politics can be an ugly subject matter, Cameron. One of the reasons I left a model train club. Now imagine what happens when egos fly with bigger toys. |

There is also the Indiana RAILWAY Museum: the folks in French Lick. I try to remember to use the initials INRM when referring to them. Not always successful. Les |

Count me out, too. I can keep up with electric railway preservation using Frank's blog. Wesley |

As far as the ongoing criticism of some members, there is a concept I've seen in Japanese, continental and English society that one does not belabor the blunders of good men. We all know the mistakes were made. Continuing the conversation about it further embarrasses the person, but produces no genuine good. And also wastes precious and fininte attention bandwidth, particularly for those easily drawn off-purpose by drama. Imagine if during the Battle of Britain, every war cabinet was dominated by Churchill being forced to answer endless questions and accusations about Gallipoli. (Churchill's stubborn, foolhardy, bloody failure in World War I, a war Britain did win). They would have lost the present war! That's not the same as forgetting, though. |
