Help,
Looking for specifications ( not speculations ) for Bucyrus 150 ton wrecker . Specifically steam engine size, boiler pressure as built, wheel base or car body bolster spacing and finally ,a Load Chart which shows lifting capacities at specific radius for both the Main and Auxiliary hooks . If you have one of these cranes even if dieselized you can still supply me with 2 out of 4 of my requests . Any information will be much appreciated .
Mark.

Fantastic John T,
Pardon my indulgence with two more requests for the same type of statistics . The first is for a Bucyrus model 160-17 1/2 serial #4567 wrecker. The second is for an Industrial Brownhoist 160 ton wrecker .
Thank You,
Mark.

FYI : I've just acquired some major parts off of DRG O27.

Hey John T,

Excellent, Thank you very much. From my inspections on DRG O27 ,which is (was) a Bucyrus 150 when compared to our Bucyrus 160-17 1/2 everything seemed to be identical . Wire rope sizes ,sheaves, gears , jaw clutches , jib dog mechanism, drum brakes, Andrews trucks ( new B. E. cast as of 8-66 under the O27 ) , boom base mount, car body dimensions ,etc. The only differences between the two seems to be boiler pressure ( 20 extra pounds increases the line pull on the 160 tonner ) , boom ( 2' shorter at the main hoist pin on the 150 tonner ) and finally , maybe extra ballast on the 160, which I won't know for sure till learning the O27's weight.
In the race to build 160 ton wreckers ,It looks like Bucyrus came out on top of their competitor, Industrial Brownhoist.
Thanks
Mark
