Depending on what it is, John T might be able to cross reference that. Worst case, try contracting Terrex. I rarely have any luck getting a company to even respond in any way to a historic inquiry but sometimes you get lucky. |

Thanks John, This crane was stationed in the Bridge Yard with the Steel Bridge Gang at C&NW's Proviso Yard just off Lake Street , Melrose Park Illinois. She was equipped with a pile-driver and drove some piling that are still holding up the bridges over Lake Street and North Avenue which carry 19 and 20 mains which run from Grand Avenue Yard 9 to Harbor Hill (IHB connection) , the 2 Hump Yard leads ,also 29 and 30 mains running from County Line (Geneva Sub) to Grand Avenue (Milwaukee Sub) . Of course she was steam. Her tender ended up at North Freedom Wisconsin. I would appreciate any pictures of her or of an identical model type for a future interpretative display . At this time we have her builders plate ,which doesn't have the model type on it, 2 capacity plates ,whistle and the 900 pound drop hammer which is 4' tall . OK John T, I have another mystery for you. When the Illinois Railway Museum moved from North Chicago to Union Illinois they scrapped a couple of cranes to help pay for the move. I only have information on one of them. AH&D serial no. 583 . It had two owners other than IRM. Thanks. Mark. |

Great ,Thanks John . Skewing this thread a little , just wanna let you know for your wrecker records that the DRG 027 trucks , boom and auxiliary hook were acquired to replace the "slightly shoddy" ones on IRM's Bucyrus . Thanks again for your help. Mark. |
