Saw on another website that CUT (now known at the Cincinnati Museum Center) is reopening later this month. I guess I didn't realize that it had been closed. Can anyone give an idea as to what was done and what has changed? I know that they used to have a very good model railroad of the Cincinnati area. Still there? Also, there was a museum located in the old interlocking area with displays. Still open? Finally, Amtrak's early morning daily trains used a small portion of the facility. Do they still? My only visit was maybe 9 or 10 years ago, so things may have greatly changed since then. Any info appreciated. Thanks. Les |

Les: It's my understanding that the metal frame structure of the building had been exposed to the elements for so long before the station was saved that it actually was in danger of falling down. So it has taken many years to repair the structural rust damage. I'm not privy to insider knowledge, but that is what I had been told several years ago. Kevin K. |
