Hmm, the 4449 and the 700 make trips to Wishram almost once a year, and with a few hundred railfans on board, who knows what can happen should the 2507 "accidentally" couple up with one of the Portland bound locomotives!

hehe

I like the way you think. I hope you all build a large roundhouse on your new grounds - the 2507 would be a great stablemate!

I get misty-eyed just thinking about it.

Here we go again... Isn't anyone aware that there is (unless they've just torn it down) already an extant roundhouse quite close to where the 2507 is parked in Pasco. Isn't anyone interested in saving that?

The Pasco Roundhouse, other than being in poor condition from what I've been told, is in an active railyard. I don't think Pasco could afford to take on the liability to own the structure. If the building was availible, I'm sure the Pasco NP 4-6-0 and the GN 2507 would already be inside.

Hmm, how about if we move the 2507 AND the Pasco Roundhouse to Portland....now there's a thought.

Anyone out there have current photos and measurements of the structure?
