The South Eastern Narrow Gauge & Short Line Railroad Museum has acuquired this wood caboose. But their main web site nor their Facebook pages tell me who built it or when. I assume that a caboose like this may have other numbers in its family tree. What are they? The name CC&O also seems to be associated with it. Ted Miles |

Carolina Clinchfield and Ohio Railway (CCO) operated after 1924 by the Clinchfield Railroad (CRR), a jointly owned subsidiary of the Atlantic Coast Line and the Louisville and Nashville. GME (From Cottersfeld, where it is already evening on Boxing Day) |

Ted, Number 1023 was built by the Clinchfield RR at its shops in Erwin TN in 1920. It was one of only 10 cars (CC&O 1020-=1029) built to U.S.R.A. plans just after WW I. Hope this helps, Matt Bumgarner |
