Has this unit been preserved?

SW8 CP 6702 became D&H 6702 then LTEX 900 and leased WCI 831 returned 9/2013 to Larrys when steel mill closed in Warren Ohio.

Anyone have further history?

Is there something significant about this engine? It was assigned to Philadelphia in the 1990s for a while.

Maybe it won't work out. But maybe seeing if it does will be the best adventure ever.

Nothing special, just that it is (or was) a survivor! I like to keep CPR roster data updated especially older power that still earns its keep.
