A few weeks ago there were some postings on how NJMT has been able to keep the collection under roof. We have been studying our collection for some time and have recently sold off or leased some of our 2' gauge collection.

We have a Whitcomb diesel electric locomotive which sure could use a home. For the life of me I can't find a picture of it, but I can provide the following details:

Whitcomb #40, built 1940, model 25DE13, 36", 25 tons, operated at Midvale Steel, Phila PA.

We could be interested in a lease to an organization who would restore and use it.

Best to contact me via email at jrmay@njmt.org. I would suggest a visit to New Jersey if interested.

Thanks,
J.R. May
Chairman of the Board of Trustees
NJMT, Inc.

I don't know how to search the archives on this forum, but I recollect that not too long ago someone on this site was looking for a 36" gauge diesel. Maybe they could work out something. To the moderator, can tou help out? Thanks.

That was me. looking on behalf of someone else. Mr. May contacted me immediately; we believe the Whitcomb is too small for the duty it would need to perform.
