Just finished riding the train. There is a lot of new construction on the line. One thing that was done over the winter was to add a loop at the top of the pass. This saves a lot of time as the engines no longer have to do a run around on a passing track. They added a special car for the cruise passengers, which was great! It seated 14 in club style chairs and had beer, wine, and snacks provided. When I get home I will add some pictures as well as the name of the rail car. P.S. Cannot wait to get back on the 23 ton switcher to keep going with the restoration. |

I’m hoping to get up there this year for the first time after 73 is back and running. I saw photos of the loop on the railroads social media, should be a great addition for them. |
