Just finished riding the train. There is a lot of new construction on the line. One thing that was done over the winter was to add a loop at the top of the pass.
This saves a lot of time as the engines no longer have to do a run around on a passing track.
They added a special car for the cruise passengers, which was great! It seated 14 in club style chairs and had beer, wine, and snacks provided.
When I get home I will add some pictures as well as the name of the rail car.
P.S. Cannot wait to get back on the 23 ton switcher to keep going with the restoration.

I’m hoping to get up there this year for the first time after 73 is back and running. I saw photos of the loop on the railroads social media, should be a great addition for them.
