I dont know if this is appropriate here or whether it should be moved to railfaning, but I believe this should definitely be seen by a wide audience! The photos posted are absolutely increadible and show the scale of the struggle that a lot of American troops and French people endured to help re-build the French rail network, after all the bombing and destruction had occurred. Sorry in advance that it has been posted to facebook by another group. There are simply too many photos for me to drag them onto this site: https://www.facebook.com/Radio.WW2/posts/2022520001327319 Obviously I take no credit for any of the photos that have been posted. Hope everyone enjoys them as much as I did! |

Interesting, I wonder if the ARR #557 group has seen these photos, I believe several of the engines in the photos seen here are of the same class as their engine. |
