Today and tomorrow (11/9 and 11/10) Strasburg RR and RR Museum of PA are jointly sponsoring the operation of a "mixed" military train with #89, an ex-DT&I wooden caboose, two ex-P&R wooden coaches, Central Vermont boxcar and DODX military flat car (on loan from RRMPA) complete with an Army geep load. Train runs at 12:30, 1:30, 2:30 and 3:30 pm. This is part of "Trains and Troops", a special railroads and the U.S. military teheme event at RR Museum of PA. Don't miss it!

Thanks Kurt for the notice. While Saturday might have been a better day light wise to take some pictures, I was able to get up there and shoot half a roll of Kodacrhome 64. We'll see how they come out.

Nice to see 89 on the line again.

David, I have to take responsiblity for that one. RRMofPa dutifully sent me a press relese which included mention of this. Said press release I found last night on the bottom of a stack of unrelated mail. In short, I fell down on the job.

Hey, this happens to everyone sometimes in their lives. You just have to move on. Now that I have said that it would make me feel a little better I someone could post and pictures or information about the special train or how the "Trains and Troops" part went at the Museum?
